Hire Me

Thank you for considering me to be part of your educational team.

Below is some more information that I hope you will find valuable as you are making your decision about employment.

My Teaching Philosophy Summarized:

"Great teachers engineer learning experiences that put students in the driver's seat and then get out of the way." - Ben Johnson

We, as teachers, have the future sitting in front of  us. My goal is to prepare students for jobs not yet created. How? Utilizing technology effectively. Creating lessons that put the students in control of their learning. Present obstacles and guide students how to overcome them with critical thinking.

Technology in the Classroom:

Creating not playing!

Seesaw Ambassador and Nearpod Certified Teacher

My favorite app ever! The Seesaw Learning Journal is the most amazing app ever! It is so easy to use...my 2nd graders knocked it out of the park! You really need to check it out! I'm even an ambassador and can help you out!Become a Certified Nearpod Educator!

I take pride knowing that I am one of the few in my school that reaches out for new ways to encompass technology in my classroom. A few years ago, I was the ONLY classroom, in the whole school, to teach my students PowerPoint. They successfully created reports using PowerPoint.

This year, (now in Kindergarten) I again am one of the few that utilizes the amazing tools that come with technology. I wrote a mini proposal to become one to one in my classroom. I was awarded a one to one classroom just this month. Since then, engagement and test scores have soared. Below are some examples of my students' work.
