We Love Books Linky Party With Mrs. Jump's Class

Another wonderful linky party. This one is hosted by the creative and amazing Mrs. Jump's Class.

Hands in the air if you are already planning for the up upcoming school year. If you could see me right now, you would see both of my hands raised high in the air!

I want to start the year off right. Two years ago, I was on maternity leave in August. Last year, I looped with my class and didn't reinforce the procedures and build that a class community. I thought that the kiddos were ready just to jump on into the curriculum. Boy was I wrong. Within the first month of school, I had about 7-9 new faces. That threw our whole chemistry off. A LOT! Lesson learned....NEVER SKIP THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR STUFF!

I got to thinking about some great books that will help build a strong classroom community. The Juice Box Bully is a book that popped out at me! I decided to created some awesome ELA resources to go along with the book. Don't have the book? No problem, there is a link to the story being read online. Check out what else is included:

This story is great for addressing what the kids need to do when they are confronted with a bully. It teaches the kids how to stick together to overcome a bully. I just love how the characters deal with a terrible situation.
