3rd Installment of Saturday Sweets AND February Currently

Welcome to the 3rd installment of.....

My goal is to inspire other teachers' lesson plans. I know that some weeks, I just can't create the best lesson plans. I need help! So I go looking around the internet for hours. Seriously, who has time for that?! I've created this weekly link up to help other teachers with their lesson plans. I would love to hear some feedback on what you think of my linky:)!
Here are the pictures to copy into your blog post:

Before I start my example of Saturday Sweets, I'm throwing February's Currently in here real quick. I love linking up with Oh' Boy 4th Grade

Okay. Here is my example of Saturday Sweets.

Polar Bear Science Learning Center, Observation & Experime
 I was lucky enough to come across this gem. It was just the experiment we needed. This packet is FREE and created by Crayonbox Learning. Check out how much fun we had....

The materials list for this experiment is SOOO easy. Salt, ice, and cups. That's my kind of experiment.I labeled the cups according to groups.I also wrote S for sat water and F for fresh water.

We measured the temperature of each cup. We found that the freshwater was about 64 degrees. The saltwater was about 48 degrees. I had the kids dip their finger in the each cup to compare the two.

 ***Tip for experiment*** Use timers and have a one person be in charge of the time. We dropped in our ice cubes and started our observations. The students absolutely loved watching the ice melt. They recorded their findings and wrote a synopsis of their experiment.

Centers are my pride and joy. I absolutely love creating meaningful centers. My kids beg me for center time. This week, I'm going to feature my own centers. I'm using my Winter Literacy Centers pack.

Winter Literacy Centers (ELA Common Core Aligned!)

It is easy to set up and easy to explain. In fact, instructions for the student is included. My time-saver pack includes, Snowman Synonyms, Sledding for Suffixes, and Polar Bear Plurals. I just know my kiddos are going to have a blast with these centers. Wanna grab your own pack? Click {here}

    1. Thanks. I'm really hoping the linky will take off soon. The fib is me leaving my desk a mess. I hate it! I will admit, I leave it messy more often than not.

  2. I had the same question. I don't like leaving my desk a mess, but I will do it, especially after weeks like this past week!
